Product and process Design
I have accompanied and carried out numerous user-centered product design processes - especially in the context of supervising dual students, as a partner for product management, software development and plant automation. In particular, I have ensured that product concepts are considered from the user's point of view, that they are fully thought through and that modern, suitable standards are taken into account.
In addition, I have designed the following technical systems in my own area of responsibility and brought them to market maturity or completed them. All of those Systems contain software, electronics and mechanics, so I managed an interdisciplinary team.
Industrie 4.0 training systems
Unlike other providers, we have developed a training system (based on real production plants) and demo racks that used components that are actually used in real industrial production facilities. To this end, we worked together with a mechanical engineering company that has built its machine modules on a smaller scale. We at Beckhoff provided the automation components (control PCs, automation software, servo motors and controllers and bus terminals), the electrical installation and programming. We also played a leading role in communication with the first customers, product development and sales.
Industrie 4.0 technology demonstrators
I designed two networked, intelligent Industrie 4.0 demonstrators that replicate real production processes and incorporate Industrie 4.0 functions. I was also responsible for project management during the creation of the demonstrators and the external presentation.
